I am so very sorry to read about Robert's passing. I first met him at Jackson Athletic Club. He was one of the nicest, friendliest people I knew. He always had a smile on his face and he always asked about my family when I would see him. He loved people and it showed. My prayers to his family for peace

I’m so sad to hear of his passing. Many of us used to workout together at the Jackson athletic Club back in the day with Robert being not only the strongest, but also the friendliest guy there. The world has truly lost a great human being. My prayers are with his family. Rest In Peace my friend??

We met Robert when he was a teenager. He had just won a contest. We often worked out at the same gym and went to his contests to cheer him on. We thought a lot of Robert. He was a quite well mannered young man. Sending prayers for his family. Joyce, Don and Chuck Burt

Robert was always a good friend. We kept in touch through out the years. It has been several years since I last saw him. He was always smiling and had such a good personality. Even though we would go periods without talking, when we did it was like no time had passed. Goes without saying that he will be greatly missed!

Met Rock several years ago at the old Courthouse Gym and he was always friendly. He would offer advise to myself and my coworkers that worked out with me but wasn’t arrogant about it. It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. Everyone in the gym liked him. I even met one of his Sisters years ago. May God bless his soul and his Family during this trying time.

Prayers for Kim and family, Robert was a wonderful trusted friend in and out of gym. And a friend to all, and helped many people in the gym, taught them to lift the right way. He was my work out partner in the gym for about 15 years. He taught me a lot, he would help any one in any way. He loved his family and Sisters Brother any all. I will miss you Brother, for ever more, I will tell my Son and daughter grand children about you. Rest In Peace Brother

Robert started working out at my gym when he was a teenager-Nautilus Fitness Center and also competed in the Mr Miss. Championships. He was a kind and quiet person who loved the sport of bodybuilding and share his knowledge to younger people. He became one of the best bodybuilders in the state. He took 2nd at Teenage America and beat out flex wheeler in a National show. He was a huge man but most of all he had a Huge Heart!!Rest in peace, Make sure to ask Jesus if you can have a special key to the LORDS GYM.Go

Robert (Rock) was a good friend during the time I worked with him at Eaton. We had several good conversations about our faith in the Lord. With my most sincere condolences for your family just know I will continue praying for all of you as I did for Rock. He was a great friend and encourager to me, I hope I was for him also. May the Lords peace and comfort surround you.

So sorry to hear this. Robert was so rare a guy. Just good people. I met him over 30 years ago and all I wanted to do was talk him into doing another bodybuilding show and all he would say was how good my legs looked when I was on stage. It seemed that everyone he spoke to when I was around him got a sincere compliment from Robert and it was like pulling teeth to get him to talk about himself and you can forget talking bad about someone. You just don't see em like that anymore. I am a better for knowing him no doubt about it. Rest in Piece My Friend. Won't be another one like you.
