Services for Mr. Donald Edwin Oster of Brookhaven are 11:00 am

Monday January 7, 2019 at Easthaven Baptist Church with visitation from 9:30 am until time of service.

Interment will be a Riverwood Memorial Park.

 

 

Mr. Donald Edwin Oster, 88 went to be with his Lord on January 3, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on November 3, 1930 to James Oster and Bessie Enloe Oster.

He was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church and was retired as a Locomotive Engineer for the Railroad.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Harland Oster and sister, Theo Martens.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Oster; sons, Chris Oster and wife, Suzanne, Daryl Oster and wife, Laura,

Dale Oster, Craig Oster and wife, Tammi and Jamie Oster; stepsons, Bennie and wife Niki, Blake and wife Carrene;

stepdaughter, Debbie Storey and husband Ron. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Karen Love and Katie Love;

19 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Easthaven Baptist Church Building Fund.

    So sorry to stumble across this. I worked with Don in Louisiana and he was always a joy to be around. We had many similar interests and I loved talking with him about his days working on the railroad. He was a great man and I am truly honored to have called him my friend! Till we meet again Don, watch over your friends and family from above and know we will all be together again.

    So sorry for your lost. Mr. Oster was one of a kind. He would call and talk and always be so jolly checking in his hospital bills.
